For the Earth
A Sonnet

Our world has served us always forever
She gave us food, shelter and gave us breath
We just turned our backs and never thanked her
But now we are giving our children death.
O-ur world is choking from pollution
Giving us a very hard price to pay
Some don’t like the truth so the truth they shun
They must learn to accept the truth today.
When the sun rises and the day is new
We know we have a chance to help our Earth
We have the chance to learn, save and renew
We can clean our Earth and give it rebirth.
Repay Earth for all she has done for us
Come on guys, for the Earth let’s take the bus.
